When Americans are sent abroad, they do not ask for whites
only.
Wayno came
to Hyuga in Japan. They played South American music, I believe. Keiko Aoyagi used to work for Wai Wai Terebi in Nobeoka as
a local reporter on restaurants and local foods. I accompaned a few of our neighbors, Kaori, and a few of my students to Southern
California, Nevada and Arizona. Tomoko and Kozue came along. John Meehan used to be a teacher in Nobeoka, Japan. He always
had a kind word to say at Bronze Snack in downtown Nobeoka. We visited George Stapchuk Jr. at his Costa Mesa apartment. "Clap
hands, turn around, sit down on the chair, fingers on your shoulders, fingers in the air, bring your hands down slowly, hide
them out of sight, put one hand on your left cheek and one hand on your right" aaaaaaaa! Now you can buy lowered cars in Nobeoka.
The houses get run down in the countryside of Nobeoka. You've Got a Friend in Nobeoka. The food here wasn't so god. But, it
is always a good experience to visit different places. There are some things that rub off on you. "I swear by everything I
own, Nobeoka will always, always be mine!" A drifter, off to see the world, ended up in Nobeoka, a castle town.
